PAM Features

PAM has four modules; Tools, Projects and Relationships, wrapped around a collaborative Community module. Its main purpose is to help you get better results, together.....with whoever you need to engage for success. Each of the modules is described briefly below:

Tools

PAM tools help individuals and teams arrive at better decisions and improve efficiencies and effectiveness of the task itself. PAM has a range of tools available which are designed and built by Alliantist. In addition it has the ability to host tools and templates designed and built by customers or their representatives. Tools available within PAM currently include:

Standard Tools (available as part of the normal subscription)

  • Partner Selection (can also be used for other selection decisions too) more
  • Stakeholder Management more
  • Risk Management more
  • Negotiation Support more

Premium Tools (available at extra cost to normal subscription)

  • Partner & Alliance Relationship Assessment more

Customer Specific Tools

  • Partner Search (customer specific development required to integrate their content) more Other examples have been developed with customers and these include - BT Global Services specific partnering toolkit and a Probation Risk Map

Further tools will be launched in due course as part of an ongoing release plan agreed with existing customers.

All tools, including customer hosted templates are available for use in the projects and relationships modules.

Projects

The PAM project module is designed for busy professionals who want to get their job done well yet are not accustomed to (or interested in) more complicated project management applications that generally confuse not serve. Whether you are working alone, in a small team or a large group the projects module offers a route through to meet your end goal in a pragmatic and effective fashion. Users can be internal colleagues, partners and guests.

PAM has a range of standard project methodologies built in; these are called Frameworks and are designed to help customers take known best practice and immediately start creating value with it. Each Framework is quickly and easily adapted should a customer wish to amend it for their own environment.

Current Frameworks include a proven strategic alliance methodology, strategic sourcing & category management, procurement, best value, business planning, partner & alliance review, proposal development and joint proposition building. Customers can also design and build their own methodologies (and we can help if requested). Examples we have built with customers include procurement, best value, probation performance framework, Probation Trust & Merger Implementation and a value proposition development process for BT Global Services. more

Relationships

The PAM relationships module offers the ability to quickly see the performance of your partner and alliance portfolio. Unlike many other CRM or PRM systems this really is about relationship management (as opposed to pure transaction or order management) and addresses the crucial parts affecting partnering success that other systems dont provide.

It has a customisable segmentation feature that enables customers to categorise relationships based on their value & importance as well as other criteria such as type, geography etc allowing them to allocate resources most effectively and search quickly and easily for relevant content.

The Partner area within the relationship suite is a simple but effective partner contact feature and offers a document repository and capturing of broader relationship information - all of which can be contributed by partners as well.

The Alliance area is where the work gets done - the alliance is the 'initiative' being undertaken with the partner and the features in this part of the module address the elements that affect success in life: KPIs for all parties, emotional health and performance checks, governance & governing bodies, sharing of knowledge and information, alliance reviews and so on. more

The Community

The community not only allows you to connect effectively with colleagues in your organisation and your partners, it also enables you to connect and collaborate with PAM users from other organisations who have decided to share their profile. Subject to agreement with the firms involved we also make available organisation profiles for PAM wide sharing too. It features a 'yellow pages / google' type directory to quickly search and find an individual or organisation with assets you want to access and they are prepared to share.

Groups, discussion forums, best practice master classes and information banks facilitate the creation of shared knowledge and recognises that all problems and issues are very shallow and more easily solved with the wisdom of the crowd that is growing in PAM.
