ALLIANTIST is working closely with BT Global Services to develop its new Partner of Choice programme and unlock the value of partnering for the benefit of all participants. ALLIANTIST has helped BTGS achieve over $100m of incremental revenue benefit from its partnering activity. BTGS has also adopted PAM, the partner & alliance manager software that will help it achieve compelling returns from its go to market sales partnering.

    The South East England Development Agency (SEEDA), as the Regional Development Agency for the South East, is responsible for the sustainable economic development and regeneration of the South East of England - the driving force of the UK's economy. ALLIANTIST are working internally with SEEDA on their partnering activities as well as developing the B2B partnering strategy for the region to encourage inward investment as well as enable the region's businesses to grow successfully through alliances.

    Before starting up ALLIANTIST Mark Darby led the Deloitte UK extended enterprise practice working with a range of large private and public sector organisations on their alliances, partnering and supply chain activity. He also carried out work on the Deloitte MCS alliance programme as well.

    Whilst at Deloitte Mark Darby led the design and development of the first collaborative procurement hub for the NHS. This project designed and architected a service that not only delivered significant efficiency gains, but also enabled more effective partnering across the various procurement bodies and got much closer than ever before to meeting its internal customers needs whilst enabling strategic suppliers and other partners opportunities to make a greater difference in the future.

    Equal is a part funded European Social Fund initiative promoting joint working amongst its partners and successful interaction with the business sector and local employers so as to facilitate an increase in job entries and training opportunities for those facing barriers to employment. ALLIANTIST is working with Equal Brighton and Hove on architecting a framework and training schedule that improves the project success across its 50 plus partners.

    Department for Finance and Personnel

    Whilst at Deloitte Mark Darby led a value optimisation and risk management project helping DFP maximise benefits from a large scale outsourcing alliance project they had embarked on. This project has now been successfully awarded to Fujitsu and its delivery partners who have won a 10-15 agreement worth circa £300m that delivers a transformational HR and ICT service for DfP bringing it significant efficiency gains and great improvements in service delivery.

    Mark Darby designed the global governance model and relationship architecture for HP in its complex ICT alliance with BT - the governance model itself is a USP for the partners. Alongside the joint go to market activity that is delivering real value for many of their mutual clients, the alliance also has significant outsourcing activity to and from each other that needed specific design consideration. The final design also had other joint work streams to co-ordinate such as the small and medium business activity each organisation executes via resellers and other partners. ASAP awarded the HPBT alliance an 'alliance excellence' award in Feb 07 following its CEO level support and innovative design principles helped the alliance surpass over $1bn revenue.

    FDM Group are a leading AiM listed IT service organisation. Alongside sales and marketing based collaboration support, ALLIANTIST are also working with FDM on optimising their upstream supply and operations activity which is focused on their unique and compelling Mountie programme.

    Thomson Reuters

    Mark Darby spent four years at Reuters. Initially leading the UKI sourcing business he also successfully delivered the high risk outsource of the UKI IT field services and logistics. He went on to design and build the sales and client focused UKI, then global alliance programme before joining Deloitte. ALLIANTIST has also been engaged to work with Reuters on refreshing its approach to alliance activity and continues to work with the newly merged Thomson Reuters.

    Henley Management College has built a reputation as a leading provider of high level executive and post graduate management training. As a leader in its field, Henley engaged ALLIANTIST as a contributing author for their MBA on strategic direction for 2007, with ALLIANTIST developing the alliances, organic growth, JV and M&A module with Henley. Mark Darby is also a guest lecturer at the College as well.
