Deliverables included:

Adding tangible value in the development of its leading hosted 3000Xtra information service initially delivered through alliances

Forging closer ties with a small number of strategic relationship partners for mutual benefit including development of successful joint go to market activities

Part of the senior team challenging Reuters core competences and providing input into the successful FAST FORWARD transformation strategy

Undertaking a review of the global alliance portfolio to determine the opportunities threats and risks and making recommendations for change in the context of the firm's new strategy and refocused core competences

Developing a global alliance relationship architecture and governance model for HP with BT, in its multi faceted relationship including mutual outsourcing and joint go to market activity thus facilitating the alliance success whilst mitigating the risk of failure.

Delivering an alliance capability assessment for SEEDA that provided a compelling return on investment and helped focus the Enterprise Team on areas of future benefit around their core competences.

Architecting, building and implementing a business critical outsourcing alliance with Fujitsu for Reuters that saw it deliver IT field services, distribution and logistics operations into both the information provider and its clients, with a roadmap of growth that ensured mutual benefit for all parties. Reuters achieved its customer service goals, cost reduction targets and a refocus on core business whereas Fujitsu has grown its client relationship as planned, and, increased business in the key financial market by accessing many of the information providers clients.

Refocusing a major outsourcing project for Northern Ireland Civil Service (NICS) addressing potential operational risks, and value erosion to the outsourced service partner, offering NICS retained benefits saving potential of tens of millions of pounds.

Instrumental in the introduction and management of a strategic sourcing capability at the Rank Group leading to greater business integration with key third parties achieving cost reductions of over £10m on a £50m expenditure whilst improving the operational performance for internal customers and leisure service consumers.

Undertaking a sales organisation assessment with FDM a leading AiM listed IT services organisation leading to the introduction of a sales proposal management system , improved marketing messages and coaching for sales staff. Additional changes included a reorganisation of the sales team, along with a revised metrics and reward strategy to help them significantly increase turnover in the next three years. Work is ongoing in terms of optimising the upstream supply chain and helping position the organisation for growth and margin improvement.

This lead to an 8 step transformation roadmap that will improve revenue performance and increase profitability not least by addressing collaboration and relationship issues inside the organisation and also with its key partners
